We would like to welcome you to Cyndi's page! Cyndi is a beautiful girl
with bright brown eyes and a contagious laugh. She loves Mozart and
all country music. When Cyndi grows up she wants to be a zookeeper
because she loves animals of all kinds (except snakes which she
thinks are yukky) Cyndi loves to watch zaboomafoo everyday to learn
more about animals and where they live.

In the following pages you will find valuable links to various sites
about PDD-NOS as well as the DSM IV ...specifically pertaining
to PDD-NOS.
We have provided links throughout for easier browsing and hope
that you find the information you are looking for. If you find any links
that dont work please email me and I will try to rectify the problem area.
During your visit here please sign our guestbook as Cyndi gets a
kick out of reading mail <:0) If you have any questions or need
further information not provided here feel free to email us and we
will try to help you find the answers you need.

Cyndi and family have recently moved to the State of Kentucky.
Now Cyndi attends school on a regular basis! She is mainstreamed
in a spanish class as well as an art class.
Cyndi has friends for the first time in her life! She is even on honor roll.
In the two and a half years that Cyndi stayed home she was taken off
all meds completely and has made major improvements such as
Cyndi can now TIE HER SHOES!!!!!!! <:o) Cyndi seems to be much
more lucid in her thinking processess and is very aware of some
differences between herself and other kids. She has become more
flexible in her ability to control herself as well as gaining more self-
confidence and building self-esteem.
Cyndi told us one day that she didnt want to be autistic anymore.
We werent sure what to say but in a flash came up with,"Well dont
be then" ... Now to most this may sound odd but we were totally
clueless as to what to say. Cyndi thought for a minute and said
finally, "Well I guess I cant take toys to school and I gotta brush
my hair, but mom do I have to stop hugging people too?"
I will say that Cyndi is still hugging folks whether they want it
or not but the toy thing hasnt gone away entirely either and
hopefully just maybe she can stay my little girl for one more year,
before growing up as quickly as they do, only this time maybe
she will finally find what she has been looking for...whatever that
may be...
To all the Cyndi's out there looking for something we hope this
year you will tell the rest of us what it is! :o)
